Smart Culture organises and produces events in Amsterdam for companies, brands and private clients: company parties, launches, brand activations, anniversaries and parties with a strong music programme. You get one producer who keeps the venue, suppliers, sound, light, music and timing together.
Founder Mart Reinders started his career in Amsterdam. He has been a DJ since 2009 and has produced events since 2017, from full productions at the Westerkerk to parties on the beach at Strandzuid.

What event production in Amsterdam involves
Production is everything that needs to happen for the night to feel effortless: finding and booking the venue, briefing suppliers, sound and light, staff, permits where needed, artists and DJs, and one run sheet that everyone works from. On the day itself, the producer is on the floor, solving problems before your guests notice.
Amsterdam has its own rules. Listed venues have strict arrangements on set-up, sound and finishing times, and for events in public spaces you apply to the municipality for a permit well in advance. We know how that works from the inside.
Music is part of the plan
Mart DJs as Martista in Amsterdam and Barcelona. For us, music is never an afterthought: the right sound at the right moment is often what people remember. Martista can play himself, or we book the artist who suits your guests.

Questions
How far in advance should we start?
For larger corporate events, three to six months is comfortable, especially around busy periods such as December and ADE in October. Smaller events can be arranged faster.
Do you help find a venue?
Yes. We suggest venues that suit your group, budget and style, from churches and museums to beach clubs and industrial spaces.
Do you also arrange permits?
At an established event venue, a separate permit is usually not needed. For events in public spaces, we apply for a permit from the municipality together with you.
Do you also organise events outside Amsterdam?
Yes, all over the Netherlands, including Baarn, Het Gooi and Utrecht, and in Barcelona.
Can you arrange the DJ too?
Yes. Mart DJs as Martista, and we also book other DJs and live acts.
